The hunger crisis in northern Syria has reached devastating levels, with nearly 80% of the population in desperate need of food assistance, as years of conflict and economic collapse have left families with few options for survival. With widespread unemployment and job loss affecting half of all households, the situation is dire. Many parents often skip meals themselves so their children can eat. Malnutrition is escalating, with only 1 in 10 children receiving enough food. Alarmingly, 20% of children are stunted an irreversible conditions caused by long-term malnutrition.
In response to these needs, we are actively working to provide both immediate relief and long-term solutions.
We’re supporting farmers with essential tools, seeds, and fertilizers to help them cultivate their land and restore livelihoods. Training programs are empowering farmers with the skills and knowledge to increase crop yields and improve food production in their communities. We’re also offering critical support to livestock breeders, ensuring their animals are healthy and productive.
Beyond agriculture, we’re distributing food baskets and vouchers to families in need. During Ramadan and Eid al-Adha, we provide special meals to bring comfort and nourishment to families during these holy times. Our work is not just about feeding people today, it’s about building sustainable livelihoods so families can thrive tomorrow.
